bootloader
password
The bootloader password provides additional security for your agent; however, you must
be connected to the agent with a serial connection and supply a password to back up or
restore the agent. You do not have to be connected with a serial connection for other agent
operations.
Procedure
To change access to your appliance:
1. In the SiteProtector Console, set up a tab to display agent policies. (See page 74.)
2. On the navigation pane, open the Accesspolicy for the agent.
Note:
The policy may be defined for only the agent, or it may be defined for a group
at a higher level than the agent.
3. For each password you want to change, do the following:
■
Type the current password in the Current Password box.
■
Click Enter Password, type the new password in the Password and in the Confirm
Password
boxes, and then click OK.
4. If you want to require the use of the bootloader password to back up or restore the
agent, select the Enable bootloader password check box.
Caution:
If you enable the Bootloader password, you must be connected to the agent
with a serial connection and supply a password to back up or to restore the agent.
