HUMPHREY FIELD ANALYZER II -
i series
KINETIC TESTING
Custom scan
The Humphrey Field Analyzer II allows the operator to move stimuli either from peripheral-to-
central, from central-to-peripheral, or from point-to-point within the field without going
through the fixation point. This feature may be helpful in describing the boundaries of a
hemianopsia for example. Using the Cursor method for selecting the Start and End points of
the Custom Scan is recommended and described in the following pages. Selecting the Start and
End points with the Keypad is available but involves the entering of two coordinates (Meridian
and Radius) for each point and, therefore, takes more time.
1
From the Special Mapping
screen, select CUSTOM
SCAN.
2
You will see the Custom Scan screen. Select CHANGE PARAMETERS if desired. Set the
parameters. See “Setting Parameters” for details. Press SELECTION COMPLETE.
3
First, press the USE CURSOR
button if the cursor is not
available. Locate the Start point
by moving the Cursor by your
preferred method (finger on
touch screen, mouse,
trackball...) to the point from
which you wish to start the
Custom Scan. Use the Meridian
and Radius locations at the top of
the screen for greater accuracy.
