To add oil, remove the dipstick. Place
a funnel into the dipstick tube to avoid
spillage.
Add a small amount of recommended
oil and recheck oil level.
Repeat the above procedures until
oil level reaches the dipstick's upper
mark. Do not overfill.
Properly tighten dipstick.
Recommended Engine Oil
Use 4-stroke engine SAE 5W 30 oil that
meets or exceeds the requirements
for API service classification SM, SL
or SJ. Always check the API service
label certification on the oil container, it
must contain at least one of the above
standards.
During the hottest days of the summer
the BRP XP-S™ 10W 40 mineral oil
(P/N 219 700 346) can be used.
NOTE: For improved overall perfor-
mance and all season applications, use
XP-S 5W 40 synthetic oil (P/N 293 600
039).

Engine Oil Change and Oil Filter
Replacement
Oil and filter are to be replaced at the
same time. Oil change should be done
with a warm engine.
WARNING
The engine oil can be very hot. In
order to avoid potential burns, do
not remove the engine drain plug
or the filter cover if the engine is
hot. Wait until engine oil is warm.
