In order to run an immunoassay cartridge, the i-STAT 1 Analyzer
must bear the
symbol:
Additionally, immunoassay cartridges and cartridges contained in
barcoded pouches must be customized for Cartridge Information
First Required and Cartridge Lot Number Required.
If either of these two conditions above are not met, the analyzer
will display this code.

The analyzer detected an atypical data stream from the cartridge.
Try another cartridge.
For BNP, if code 150 is encountered when running a whole blood
sample, it is recommended that the sample be centrifuged and
the test be repeated with the resulting plasma.

Can occur if moisture collects on the
contact pins inside the analyzer when
the analyzer is subjected to ambient
temperature change.
Allow analyzer to equilibrate in new environment
for 30 minutes and repeat test. If code reoccurs,
return anlayzer.

Amperometric channel out of limits.
Can occur if external simulator not
inserted straight.
Reinsert the simulator straight. If code
reoccurs, return analyzer.

Resistance reading on conductometric
channel out of limits.
Return analyzer.

Thermal probe failure.
