GPI Input Batch Files
A Batch (or .bat) file is a text-file that contains a set of commands to be executed by the server when the file is
invoked via GPI Input signal.
Batch File Rules:
•
The file name of the alarm batch file cannot exceed 31 characters in length.
•
The batch file must be stored in the /user/bat directory.
In addition to the inclusion of any valid QShell system command, there are two batch files commands, Script
Transport and Script Automation, used to control content playback, communicate with Digital Cinema projectors
and audio systems, and issue GPI output signals to interface with other automation system devices.
Script Transport
This batch file command is used to control the playback (transport) of a Show Playlist (or script). Options
include:
Script Transport Pause – this command is used to stop (pause) playback of the current Show
Playlist. The Show Playlist will still be loaded and can be resumed from the point that it was
stopped from the front panel by pressing the PLAY VTR transport button.
Alternately the paused Show Playlist may be restarted using the Script Transport Resume
command if a separate GPI Input channel is configured to execute a separate batch file with that
command.
Script Transport Resume – this command is used to restart playback of the current Show
Playlist that had been stopped (paused).
Script
Automation
This batch file command is used to execute any GPI, TPC and CP650 commands that can be present
within a Show Playlist (or script). The one exception is that event command timing information is ignored
within the batch file as all commands are executed as soon as possible (Show Playlist event timing
information is still processed during the execution of that Show Playlist).
Script Automation command options (for use within a batch file) are as follows:
Script Automation TPC Douser Close – this command is used to instruct the Digital Cinema
projector to close its mechanical douser (if present).
Script Automation TPC Douser Open – this command is used to instruct the Digital Cinema
projector to open its mechanical douser (if present).
