Models Included in This Chapter
This chapter describes how to install the following CX, DX, EX, Granite, and Cascade appliances in a rack:
Desktop appliances, including CX255, CX555, and CX755 systems.
1U appliances, including CX1555 and EX1160 systems.
EX560 and EX760 systems include separate rack installation instructions. Please consult the
instructions enclosed with your system for detailed information about installing these systems in a
rack.
2U appliances, including CX5055, CX7055, DX8000, EX1260, EX1360, and Granite Core (GC2000)
systems.
Cascade and Shark appliances. Procedures and references to the 1U and 2U models apply to the
Cascade xx60 appliances and the Cascade Shark 1100, 2100, and 2200.
Before You Begin
Before you begin the installation process:
Remove the outer rails before attempting to install the appliance in a rack unit.
