selected for you when you perform the following procedure. However,
if you ever want to install (or reinstall) the printer driver manually, use
the instructions in the following section, “Ethernet Connections.”

Turn on the printer.
The printer goes through an initialization warm-up and self-testing
that lasts less than 2 minutes. When the warm-up is complete,
Idle
displays in the message window.

Turn on the PC.

A message window informs you
New Hardware Found
, and
then you’re prompted to insert the printer driver disk.

Insert the QMS 2060 WX printer drivers disk or CD-ROM
(shipped with your printer) in the appropriate disk drive on
your PC, and choose OK to continue.

Follow the instructions on the screen to install the printer driver.
When the installation is complete, the Windows 95 desktop
appears.

Remove the disk or CD-ROM from the PC, and store it in a
safe place.
Ethernet Connections
Because Ethernet connections don’t support Plug and Play
technology, you must install the printer driver manually as follows.

From the Windows 95 Start menu choose Settings.

From the Settings menu choose Printers.

Insert the QMS 2060 WX printer drivers disk or CD-ROM
(shipped with your printer) in the appropriate disk drive on
your PC.

Double-click on Add Printer.

Follow the instructions in the Add Printer Wizard.

When you're prompted to select a manufacturer and printer,
choose Have Disk...
