LEDs
The following explains LEDs of WL1700-MS.

Active Scan is a function that searches rogue APs through the network.

(Indicates status of
the controller part)
Lights green
In normal operation
Lights red
- Hardware is in abnormal state (system start-up is incapable).
- System detected an error with its diagnosis function during
power up.
Off
Indicated the system is upon activation
AP Status Lamp
(Indicates status of
the access point
part)
Lights green
Indicates normal operation meets the following conditions:
- Access Point part has booted normally
- Access Point part is making connection with a WL Controller
- One of radios is valid, or radios is invalid but the scanning is
active. (sentry mode)
Lights orange
Indicates the Access Point part is not attributed to WL Controller
Flashes green and
orange
alternatively
Indicates the Access Point part is attributed to WL Controller but
Radio is in disabled status or Access Point part is booting up
5GHz Lamp
2.4GHz Lamp
Lights green
Indicates a client is being associated with radio.
Flashes green
Indicates a client associated with radio is communicating via the
radio.
Lights orange
Indicates radio and the active scan (

) both are inactive.
Flashes orange
Indicates a client that is not associated with radio is trying to
communicate via radio.
Flashes green and
orange
alternatively
Indicates radio cannot transmits signals.
- AP is not able to transmit beacon.
- Radio is faulty.
Lights off
Indicates the following:
- Radio is not active while active scan (

) is enabled (Sensory
mode)
- Radio is active, however, client is not yet associated with it.
