Setup Flow for LPR Printing
This equipment can be used with LPR printer connection for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000,
Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003. LPR printing is the common method to setting up the
printer from servers. It is better to use LPR printing for Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Win-
dows XP, and Windows Server 2003 rather than SMB printing because the printing process of
LPR printing is shorter than SMB printing.
Setup procedure
Step 1: Setting up the TCP/IP and the HTTP Network Service to enable Imagis-
tics Printer Utility.
You should set the TCP/IP and HTTP Network Service from the Touch Panel Display the
first time you use it, to make Imagistics Printer Utility available. Please see the User Func-
tions Guide to configure the TCP/IP and HTTP Network Service from the Touch Panel Dis-
play, or from Imagistics Printer Utility.

well.
