Collect backup media and documentation.
Before installing Windows 95, collect the following media:

The Microsoft Windows 95 CD-ROM.
♦
The Intergraph backup diskettes delivered with your system. Depending
on your system configuration, these diskettes may include the following:

System configuration utilities

Get setup information.
Before configuring the system, get the following setup information, some of
which you may have to get from your network administrator:

The type of printer you want to install on your system.
♦
The port to which the printer will be attached.
♦
The path to your local Microsoft Mail post office, if necessary.
♦
The username, workgroup, computer description, and other network
information required to connect your system to a network, if
necessary.
Ensure that your system has at least 40 MB of free disk space. A full
installation of all Windows 95 components requires approximately 75 MB of
free disk space.

Install Windows 95.
Windows 95 uses a Setup Wizard to help you install the operating system.
