Intergraph TD-300 Maintenance Manual - Observing System Precautions
Chapter 1 - Getting Started 11
Observing System Precautions
Observe the following precautions when using the system.
♦
Always provide at least three inches of space at the front and back of the
base unit for ventilation.
♦
When restarting the system, use the operating system controls instead of
turning the power switch off and on. Use the power switch only when
instructed, or as the last alternative for restarting the system.
♦
Never turn the base unit off when the disk access LED is on.
♦
After powering off the base unit, wait at least 30 seconds before
powering on again to allow the system to power cycle.
♦
Periodically run virus scan software to ensure your system files are not
corrupted.
Replacing the Faceplate Door
The TD-300 and TD-400 deskside workstations use a breakaway faceplate
door. If you open the door beyond 120 degrees, it disengages from the
faceplate hinges to prevent the door hinge from breaking. To replace the
door, snap it back into the faceplate hinges.
Using the Online Reference
Detailed technical information on your workstation is delivered in an Online
Reference document. This Windows Help-based document is delivered on
diskette in the form of a self-extracting archive file named TDDSOR.EXE.
