Return to your PC. From a machine that has access to the same network as the
OfficeConnect Gateway, use the following
TFTP commands
to transfer the filter
file to FLASH memory on the OfficeConnect Gateway:

Return to the CLI on the OfficeConnect Gateway. The OfficeConnect Gateway
does not recognize a filter file stored in its FLASH memory until you add it to the
Managed Filter Table.
add filter
Use this command to add the filter file to the Managed Filter Table.
When the filter is added, the OfficeConnect Gateway verifies filter file syntax. If
the syntax is valid, no message is generated and the command prompt returns. If
the syntax is not valid, error messages are generated, detailing the source of the
errors.
You must include the filter extension ( .fw) in the filter name. If you don’t include
the extension, an error message will be displayed.
list filters
Use this command to verify your filter file is stored on the OfficeConnect Gateway
FLASH memory.
verify filter
Use this command to ensure filter file syntax is correct.
If the filter file fails to verify, return to the text editor, edit the file, TFTP the file to
the OfficeConnect Gateway and re-verify.
Any subsequent entry of the same filter files requires they be re-verified and
reapplied using the
set interface
command.
show filter
Use this command to display and view a filter file.
show filter
protocol [IP
|
IP-RIP
|
LOGIN-ACCESS]
Use this command to display the contents of the filter file by protocol.
Configuring Filters
Once you have added a filter file to the list of managed files on your
OfficeConnect Gateway, using the
add filter
command, you can
assign it to:
Interfaces
Users
Interface Filters
You can configure interface filters for any interface. Interface filters control access
to all networks available for an interface.
You can specify whether a filter applies to packets entering the interface (input
filter), and packets leaving the interface (output filter). The OfficeConnect
Gateway examines the filtering rules to determine whether the interface accepts
