OMMANDS
Overview
This section describes the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) commands accessible
from the CLI. ARP is an internet protocol used to map an IP address to a MAC
address.
The following table identifies the ARP commands described in this chapter:
Arp Command

address> Learns the IP address, and, if on a locally connected network, the Media Access Control (MAC) address (Ethernet address) of a network node via the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP). If the node is not in the ARP cache, an ARP request is sent out.
