NTP
3-3
The following table identifies the NTP CLI commands.
Enable Command
enable ntp
The
enable ntp
command enables the Network Time Protocol (NTP), which
references a clock located on the Internet, allowing the OfficeConnect Gateway to
synchronize its clock setting with a server of your choice. See the
set ntp
and
disable ntp
commands for more information.
Disable Command
disable ntp
The
disable ntp
command disables the Network Time Protocol which references
clocks located on the Internet. See the
enable ntp
and
set ntp
commands for
more information.
Set Command
set ntp
The
set ntp
command sets parameters for the NTP client process, which
references a clock located on the Internet. This is useful to specify the server you
want the OfficeConnect Gateway to access for time synchronization. Support for
NTP is based on RFC 2030, using Unicast mode only.
The
set ntp
command has the following parameters:
polling_interval
primary_server
retransmissions
secondary_server
timeout
These parameters are described in the following table. See the
show ntp settings
command to display the ntp configuration.
