OMMANDS
disable telnet
The disable telnet command lets you disable the following Telnet parameters:
client_access
disconnect_message
escape
terminal_download_mode
trying_message
These parameters are described in the following table.

show telnet
Displays the status of the Telnet escape and trying message features. It is set using
the
disable/enable telnet escape
and
trying_message
commands. The
show
telnet
command lists the following information:

Parameter
Description
client_access
If client access is disabled, there is universal access to the
OfficeConnect Gateway from Telnet clients. The default is
Disabled
.
disconnect_message
When disabled, the OfficeConnect Gateway will not send
connection closed by foreign host and similar messages when
the connection is closed. The default is
enabled
.
escape
All Telnet clients are prevented from using the escape character
during a session.
terminal_download_
mode
Disables feature which
turns off
local and remote echo for
Telnet on a TCP port other than 23 for an OfficeConnect
Gateway Telnet client. The default is
Disabled
.
trying_message
Turns off the trying status message for clients attempting to
Telnet out of the OfficeConnect Gateway. When escape is
disabled, Telnet clients who issue the escape character during
their session will not get a local Telnet command line (the
character is sent as regular text).
