SYSTEM OVERVIEW
AUDIO ALERTS
The gender of the voice used to announce audio alerts may be set to male or female on the System Setup
Page. See the Appendices for voice alerts.
Changing the audio alert voice:
1)
Use the
FMS
Knob to select the AUX - System Setup Page.
2)
Press the
FMS
Knob momentarily to activate the flashing cursor.
3)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight the voice in the Audio Alert Box.
4) Turn the small
FMS
Knob to display and highlight the desired voice and press the
ENT
Key.
MFD DATA BAR FIELDS
By default, the Navigation Status Box on the MFD is set to display ground speed (GS), distance to next
waypoint (DIS), estimated time enroute (ETE), and enroute safe altitude (ESA). These four data fields can be
changed to display the following information:
• Bearing (BRG)
• Distance (DIS)
• Desired Track (DTK)
• Enroute Safe Altitude (ESA)
• Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
• Estimated Time Enroute (ETE)
• Ground Speed (GS)
• Minimum Safe Altitude (MSA)
• True Airspeed (TAS)
• Track Angle Error (TKE)
• Track (TRK)
• Vertical Speed Required (VSR)
• Crosstrack Error (XTK)
The Navigation Status Box on the PFD is not affected by these changes; flight plan, distance, and bearing
information are displayed at all times.
Changing the information shown in the MFD Navigation Status Box:
1)
Use the
FMS
Knob to select the System Setup Page.
2)
Press the
FMS
Knob momentarily to activate the flashing cursor.
3)
Turn the large
FMS
Knob to highlight the desired field number in the MFD Data Bar Fields Box.
4)
Turn the small
FMS
Knob to highlight the desired selection from the data options list and press the
ENT
Key.
