Initializing Flash Memory
You can restore memory to the default state.
Initialize memory by following the procedure below.
Note
When you initialize memory, the following data is also deleted. Check whether deleting the data results in no problem carefully.

[FLASH SETUP] is not displayed by factory default.
You must set [YES] for [STORAGE SETUP], which is found by selecting [ADMIN SETUP] on the operator panel > [OTHERS SETUP].

Flash Memory Areas That Users Can Initialize
The following four areas can be initialized.
0: PCL
1: COMMON
2: MIX
[disk0] : PS area (except B412)
Initializing Four Areas at Once (FLASH INITIALIZE)
1.
Press or on the operator panel to display [ADMIN SETUP], and then press (OK).
2.
Enter the administrator password.
The factory default password is "aaaaaa".
3.
Press (OK).
4.
Press or to select [OTHERS SETUP], and then press (OK).
5.
Press or to select [FLASH SETUP], and then press (OK).
6.
When [FLASH INITIALIZE] is displayed, press (OK).
7.
When [ARE YOU SURE?] is displayed, check that [YES] is flashing, and then press (OK).
8.
When [EXECUTE NOW?] is displayed, check that [YES] is flashing, and then press (OK).
[OFFLINE] is displayed, and flash memory is initialized.
When initialization is complete, [REBOOTING 2] is displayed and the printer automatically restarts.
Initialization takes 1 to 2 minutes.

[2:MIX] cannot be specified.
