Purpose
Used to display the current authentication state
of the 802.1x server on the switch.
Syntax
show 802.1x auth_state {ports
Description
The show 802.1xauth_statecommand is used
to display the current authentication state of the
802.1x Port-based Network Access Control
server application on the switch.
Parameters
ports
− Specifies a range of ports. The
port list is specified by listing the lowest switch
number and the beginning port number on that
switch, separated by a colon. Then highest
switch number, and the highest port number of
the range (also separated by a colon) are
specified. The beginning and end of the port list
range are separated by a dash. For example, 3
would specify port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4
specifies all of the ports between port 3 and port
4
− in numerical order.
The following details what is displayed:
Port number
− Shows the physical port number
on the switch.
Auth PAE State:
Initalize|Disconnected|Connecting|
Authenticating|Authenticated|Held
|ForceAuth|ForceUnauth
− Shows the current
state of the Authenticator PAE.
Backend State: Request|Response|Fail|
Idle|Initalize|Success |Timeout
− Shows the
current state of the Backend Authenticator.
