config ports
Purpose
Used to configure the switch’s Ethernet port settings.
Syntax
config ports [
[auto|10_half|10_full|100_half|100_full|
1000_half|1000_full]
learning [enabled|disabled]
state [enabled|disabled]}
Description
This command allows for the configuration of the
switch’s Ethernet ports. Only the ports listed in the
Parameters
all
− Displays all ports on the switch to be configured.
portlist
− Specifies a range of ports to be configured.
The port list is specified by listing the beginning port
number and the highest port number of the range.
The beginning and end of the port list range are
separated by a dash. For example, 3 would specify
port 3. 4 specifies port 4. 3-4 specifies all of the ports
between port 3 and port 4
− in numerical order.
auto
− Enables auto-negotiation for the specified
range of ports.
[10|100|1000]
− Configures the speed in Mbps for the
specified range of ports.
[half|full]
− Configures the specified range of ports as
either full- or half-duplex.
learning [enabled|disabled]
− Enables or disables the
MAC address learning on the specified range of
ports.
state [enabled|disabled]
− Enables or disables the
specified range of ports.
Restrictions Only
administrator-level users can issue this
command.
