Description
Use the
multicast ipv6 routing-enable
command to enable IPv6 multicast routing.
Use the
undo multicast ipv6 routing-enable
command to disable IPv6 multicast routing.
IPv6 multicast routing is disabled by default.
Note that:
z
You must enable IPv6 multicast routing before you can carry out other Layer 3 IPv6 multicast
commands.
z
The device does not forward any IPv6 multicast packets before IPv6 multicast routing is enabled.

Parameters
ipv6-source-address
: IPv6 multicast source address.
ipv6-group-address
: IPv6 multicast group address, in the range of FFxy::/16, where x and y represent
any hexadecimal number from 0 to F.
prefix-length
: Prefix length of an IPv6 multicast group or an IPv6 multicast source address. For an IPv6
multicast group address, this argument has an effective value range of 8 to 128; for an IPv6 multicast
source address, this argument has an effective value range of 0 to 128. The system default is 128 in
both cases.
incoming-interface
: Specifies to clear IPv6 multicast forwarding entries of which the incoming
interface is the specified one.
interface-type
interface-number
: Specifies an interface by its name and number.
register
: Specifies the register interface.
all
: Clears all forwarding entries from the IPv6 multicast forwarding table.

reset multicast ipv6 forwarding-table
command to clear forwarding entries from the IPv6
multicast forwarding table.
