Parameters
route-policy-name
: Routing policy name with 1 to 19 characters.
value
: Priority for RIP route, in the range of 1 to 255. The smaller the value, the higher the priority.
Description
Use the
preference
command to specify the RIP route priority.
Use the
undo preference
route-policy
command to restore the default.
By default, the priority of a RIP route is 100.
You can specify a routing policy using the keyword
route-policy
to set the specified priority to routes
matching the routing policy.

If a priority is set for matched routes in the routing policy, the priority applies to these routes. The
priority of other routes is the one set by the
preference
command.
z
If no priority is set for matched routes in the routing policy, the priority of all routes is the one set by
the
preference
command.

# Set the RIP route priority to 120.
[Sysname] rip 1
[Sysname-rip-1] preference 120
reset rip statistics
